A certificate of analysis (COA) is a laboratory document that reports identity and purity testing results for one specific production lot of a material. It ties those results to a lot number, a test date, and the laboratory that produced them.
Reading one, and what makes it worth anything
A COA is a record of what a laboratory measured on a sample from one lot. The fields that carry the weight are the lot or batch identifier, the date of analysis, the methods used, the results against the specification, and the name of the laboratory that signed it. A document without a lot number is not a COA for anything; it is a brochure.
The distinction that matters commercially is who ran the test. An in-house COA is the manufacturer reporting on its own material, which is normal and is also self-attestation. A third-party COA is an independent laboratory reporting on a sample of the same lot. Both are documents; only one of them is evidence from someone with no interest in the answer.
The other thing to check is that the lot on the certificate is the lot in the box. A COA for a lot you did not receive tells you about material you do not have, and that mismatch is the single most common problem with peptide paperwork in this market. Ask what currently in stock in the wholesale catalog is for a compound before you build a listing around its documentation.
How it works here
Every lot we stock carries a third-party certificate of analysis for that lot, and the certificate that travels with a shipment is the one for the lot in the parcel. Where you want the document under your own brand, it is reissued as a white-label COA with the same results and the same lot number.
