Dropship fulfillment is a model where a retailer sells product it does not hold, and the order routes to a supplier who ships it straight to the customer. The retailer owns the storefront, the price, and the customer; the supplier owns the inventory and the parcel.
What the split actually costs you
The appeal is obvious: no inventory to buy, no shelf to rent, no capital sunk into stock that might not sell. The trade is control. You do not decide when a lot arrives, you do not decide which lot ships, and you cannot promise a delivery date the warehouse has not agreed to. A brand that oversells its ship times on a dropship model is writing chargebacks it will lose.
The second trade is margin. A dropship unit costs more than the same unit bought in bulk, because the supplier is picking one of them instead of a hundred. What you get back is that your cost is per-unit and only appears when a customer has already paid you, which is the difference between a business you can start this month and one that needs a purchase order first.

The order path
A customer buys on your WooCommerce store at your retail price. The order lands with us, we pick the vial from our own stock, label it with your artwork, and ship it blind. You are billed the wholesale price of the vial, $1.00 to label it, and postage at carrier cost, on that week's invoice.
